  • Regular Fasting as part of a detox program can lead to weakness, fainting, headaches, or dehydration especially if the diet is not balanced

Can Liver Detox Help Recover Damaged Liver from Alcohol/Bad Food Habits?

As of now, there is no particular study or any kind of scientific/medical research based on evidence that liver detox can assist in removing toxins from your body or improve your overall health. Some people may also feel better and more energetic on a detox diet. The simple explanation for this benefit is you’re completely avoiding highly processed foods that contain excessive carbs, solid fats, and processed sugar. These foods are low in nutrition and have excessive calories. Many Detox diets also often ask you to avoid the foods that you might be allergic or sensitive to, like dairy products, gluten, eggs, or peanuts.

Adopting a healthy lifestyle as well as focusing on eating a balanced diet, getting high quality sleep for at least 7 hours and consulting with a doctor at regular intervals are much more effective for liver health than any fad diet or cleanse.
